Gallup Ranch –  Native Grassland Restoration
2007 - Restored native grasses and forbs on an erodible cropland hillside.
2008 – Restored remaining cropland acreage to native grasses and forbs.
2009 Installed Cross fencing for rotational grazing.
2010 – Introduced cattle and began rotational grazing.

Programs – USDA WHIP and EQIP program (cost share).
Planted with WNBRI seed mix and Truax seed drill.

2-Dot Ranch – Brush Sculpting and Range Seeding
2006 – Mechanically cleared\grubbed meandering openings through infested mesquite brush pastures using a bulldozer.
2007 – Disked and harrowed cleared openings then planted a mixture of native grasses and forbs using a Brillion seeder.
2008 – 2010 – Deferred livestock grazing to allow native grasses and forbs to establish.

Programs -  USDA WHIP Program (cost share).
Planted with WNBRI seed mix.

 

T-Star Ranch - Brush Sculpting and Range Seeding
2008-2012 – Mechanically cleared\grubbed infested mesquite pastures leaving brush in scattered motte’s approximately 100 yds apart.

Disked and planted cleared areas with native grasses and forbs using a Brillion seeder.

Installed cross fencing to allow rotational grazing
Programs – USDA EQIP Program (cost share)
Planted with WNBRI seed mix.

All Projects are located in the western portion of Navarro County, Texas.
